Making complex decisions can be challenging when options, priorities, and trade-offs are scattered across documents, spreadsheets, and conversations. JevModel.app, founded in 2025 aims to simplify the process by turning difficult choices into clear, structured decision models. The platform originally based on Typesafe AI helps teams and individuals compare alternatives, weigh important criteria, and evaluate potential outcomes side by side, making their reasoning more transparent and decisions easier to justify.

THE IDEA: What is the problem being solved by your startup / business?
Teams and individuals routinely face complex decisions where options, criteria and trade-offs live in scattered docs, chat threads and half-remembered spreadsheets, so choices get made with ambiguity and hindsight regret.
JevModel solves this by turning any complex choice into a clear, structured decision model: you lay out the options, weight the criteria, and compare outcomes side by side, so the reasoning is visible and the decision is defensible. In short, it removes the guesswork from hard calls.
THE FOUNDER’S STORY: When and how did you come up with the idea for the business?
I came up with the idea when I kept watching good teams argue past each other in meetings because nobody had written the decision down anywhere structured. Everyone was debating from a different mental model of the same problem, and the same debate would resurface weeks later.
I wanted a tool that forces the options, criteria and outcomes onto one page so the group can see the same model, disagree about the weights rather than the facts, and walk away with a decision they can explain later. JevModel is that tool.
WHO IS THE CUSTOMER: What is the typical profile of your target customer? Where would they be located?
Our typical customer is a product manager, founder, consultant or engineering lead at a small to mid-sized team who has to make high-stakes calls with incomplete information and needs to justify them to stakeholders.
They are located anywhere in the world, with a concentration in North America, Europe and Asia where remote-first teams do most of their planning asynchronously. They already live in productivity and SaaS tools and are comfortable paying for software that makes their thinking clearer.
LESSONS TO SHARE: What 3 key lessons from your startup journey you’d like to share with aspiring entrepreneurs?
The three key lessons from my journey I would like to share are:
- First, talk to the people who feel the pain before you write a line of code, because the problem you find in conversation is rarely the one you assumed.
- Second, ship a narrow version that does one thing exceptionally well rather than a broad tool that does everything mediocrely, since focus earns the first loyal users.
- Third, treat distribution as part of the product from day one, because even a great tool is worthless if the people who need it never stumble across it.
