THE FOUNDER’S STORY: When and how did you come up with the idea for the business?:
Before the advent of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I had buried at least five close relations, my father and fiancée included. Why? Nobody was any wiser. In 10 deaths that occur daily in our Kenyan Hospitals, at least 7 of them are entirely preventable. Inadequate access to specialized medical care and lifesaving information is hugely to blame for such unnecessary loss of precious lives.
In 2021, I established Doctors Explain FM (a Patient Education and Management System) to help address the aforementioned causes of deaths in our community. My vision is making it possible for at least 90% of rural-based patients and those with mobility impairment to receive specialized medical care, and readily access to medical information within the next 10 years.

Belief alone is never enough, it takes you the courage;to get out there and walk the talk, learn all it takes, and above all be patient.
