NAME OF STARTUP: : Disbug

THE IDEA: What is the problem being solved by your startup / business?:

Reporting & fixing bugs suck big time. To report a bug, QA needs to switch between multiple tools to report a bug.

They have to – record screen – capture screen shot – annotate screenshot using paint/photoshop – open issue tracker like jira/trello – search the attachments in desktop – upload them – write description of the bug, steps to reproduce – submit the bug.

Even after getting the bug report, developers will not be able to reproduce due to lack of necessary details. So they have to call or chat with the QA team to understand how to reproduce, see console logs in their screen etc.

THE FOUNDER’S STORY: When and how did you come up with the idea for the business?:

I hate bugs, and so do you. Disbug was born out of the pain, be it myself or other team members.

Being a part of numerous software products, I had first hand experience of the drawbacks involved in the testing and reporting cycle. Disbug seeks to sort out these pitfalls and make the bug reporting process as simple as possible.

WHO IS THE CUSTOMER: What is the typical profile of your target customer? Where would they be located?:

Web developers, Web development agencies, Software QA testers, Project Managers

LESSONS TO SHARE: What 3 key lessons from your startup product you’d like to share with aspiring entrepreneurs?:

Disbug is a chrome extension that lets you record screen with voice narration and post to jira along with technical logs with a click of a button.

From QA to fixing, save huge time involved in bug fixing. Easier for testers, efficient for developers!
