THE FOUNDER’S STORY: When and how did you come up with the idea for the business?:
The founding team previously built a personalized poster business called Grafomap which used print-on-demand service providers to fulfil orders. We grew the poster business to 7-digit revenue and sold it.
We sold it because there were very few repeat sales. So we decided to start a supplement business because there’s potential for a subscription model.
However, there were no on-demand solutions for supplements. The private label suppliers we reached out, judged by the communication style and their websites, seemed to be stuck in the 90’s.
That’s when we decided that we have to build the kind of platform we were looking for – a supplements on demand solution.
