THE FOUNDER’S STORY: When and how did you come up with the idea for the business?:
Steven is a two-time Techstars alumni & serial entrepreneur that loves helping other founders. He’s spent four years providing outsourced financial leadership to growing companies.
When he isn’t working on Forecastr, you can find him out in the woods camping & rock climbing.
Steven had another startup in the past, that he also took through Techstars. After this experience, and four years of working with startups as their outsourced head of finance, he teamed up with Logan Burchett, also a financial modeling expert, to build Forecastr, which is online software that helps founders build great financial models for their startups.
THE IDEA: What is the problem being solved by your startup / business?:
Startup founders have a very hard time building and managing a good financial model for their startups, due to the technicality and cumbersomeness of using offline spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel.
This leads to poor decision making, and makes it more difficult to raise capital and grow their businesses.
Forecastr, our online SaaS solution, makes it simple to build a great financial model for your company, and our team of experts work directly with you to ensure your financial model is ‘investor-grade’.
WHO IS THE CUSTOMER: What is the typical profile of your target customer?
Startup Founders. Preferably early-stage, between pre-seed and Series-B. Typically we sell directly to a startup CEO who is not trained in finance.

Forecastr is a seed-stage, B2B SaaS startup that has raised over $3M in capital, and has gone through the Techstars accelerator program.
Through our online SaaS solution, we help founders build great financial models for their companies so they can raise capital more effectively and run their businesses better.
