NAME OF STARTUP: Bigdevsoon App
FOUNDED IN (Year): 2024
FOUNDER’S NAME: Adrian Bigaj
THE IDEA: What is the problem being solved by your startup / business?:
I built Bigdevsoon App to tackle the pervasive issue of the “endless tutorial hell” that many aspiring web developers face. Too often, developers find themselves trapped in a cycle of consuming tutorials and courses without ever gaining the confidence or skills to build real-world projects. This can be incredibly frustrating and demotivating.
I wanted to create a platform that breaks this cycle by encouraging developers to start building actual projects from Day 1. Bigdevsoon App is designed to give users practical, hands-on experience through a structured, gamified approach, helping them transition from learning to doing. The ultimate goal is to accelerate their learning journey and reduce the time it takes for them to land their dream jobs in the tech industry.
THE FOUNDER’S STORY: When and how did you come up with the idea for the business?:
I have 10 YOE in coding, from Java Tester to Senior Frontend Dev/TL/Full-Stack Enthusiast. I was coaching and mentoring junior Devs on code-mentor, mentorcruise and saw repeating patterns of tutorial hell that people were ending up in.
WHO IS THE CUSTOMER: What is the typical profile of your target customer? Where would they be located?:
Our ideal customer is a motivated individual who either started their #100DaysOfCode challenge, is preparing for an interview with practice problems or wants to enhance their portfolio by building real-world projects. Our almost ideal customers are also existing junior/regular/senior Devs to enhance their skills.
LESSONS TO SHARE: What 3 key lessons from your startup journey you’d like to share with aspiring entrepreneurs?:
Solve a Real Problem: Focus on addressing a genuine pain point for your target audience. For Bigdevsoon, it was breaking the “tutorial hell” cycle that many aspiring developers face.
Iterate Based on Feedback: Continuously improve your product by listening to user feedback. It’s crucial to stay adaptable and make changes that enhance the user experience.
Stay Passionate and Patient: Building a startup is a marathon, not a sprint. Passion for your mission will keep you going, and patience is key as you navigate the challenges of growing your business.
