THE IDEA: What is the problem being solved by your startup / business?:

WriteText.ai eliminates tedious copy-paste and import-export routines by letting users generate text right inside their ecommerce backend and seamlessly publish text when done.

With the bulk generation feature, users can even generate and publish text for multiple products at once. Aside from basic text generation features, WriteText.ai also supports SEO with a built-in keyword analysis tool, suggested semantic keywords, and keyword density tracker.

THE FOUNDER’S STORY: When and how did you come up with the idea for the business?:

Back in 2021, we have seen a rise in AI text generation tools that help users quickly write blog posts, emails, ads, and practically every piece of content you can think of. However, there isn’t any tool catered specfically for ecommerce content. And while there are AI writing tools that offer product description generation, these usually have a separate interface of their own that require users to either manually copy and paste or export and import the product descriptions from the AI tool to their ecommerce platform.

1902 Software, the company behind WriteText.ai, has developed numerous ecommerce sites over the years and have seen firsthand how many ecommerce sites struggle with writing good product descriptions, especially high-volume stores with numerous products added and synchronized daily.

With our experience in WordPress and Magento development, we have decided to create a tool that’s specifically catered for ecommerce, and more importantly, a tool that serves as an add-on so that it can live inside the ecommerce platform and eliminate the hassle of copy-paste and import-export routines.

LESSONS TO SHARE: What 3 key lessons from your startup journey you’d like to share with aspiring entrepreneurs?:

WriteText.ai is in a unique position as a “”startup”” emerging from an established company. Given this, we have learned 3 key lessons from the journey:

1. Leverage existing resources: We used the parent company’s resources, networks, and brand reputation to our advantage, but still ensured that WriteText.ai has its own identity and stands independently in the long run.

2. Innovate within the framework: Given our extensive experience in WordPress and Magento development, we decided to start out with these platforms (along with Shopify which we plan to soon offer development for).

3. Cultivate a startup culture of agility: Despite coming from an established company, we still adapted a culture that emphasizes agility and innovation, much like a traditional grassroots startup.
