1SecondPainting is an AI art generator that lets non-artistic people create their own, high quality paintings in seconds
THE FOUNDER’S STORY: When and how did you come up with the idea for the business?:
I came up with the idea after a short stint at a neurotechnology lab. I noticed the parallels between biological generative processes & modern visual models, and saw an opportunity to make something unique.
WHO IS THE CUSTOMER: What is the typical profile of your target customer? Where would they be located?:
They’re located all over the world, but we sell primarily to digital artists, interior designers, real estate agents, hotels, offices, musicians, and people in the burgeoning NFT space.
LESSONS TO SHARE: What 3 key lessons from your startup journey you’d like to share with aspiring entrepreneurs?:
Customer experience: focus on building a strong, unique customer journey through your platform/app. No other advice has been more helpful to me than this, especially given the novel nature of our offering.
Moving fast > perfection: rather than spending hundreds of hours trying to get everything perfect pre-launch, build an MVP as quickly as possible and get feedback.
Create a following: Whether organically (SEO, social media) or through paid advertising, build a following as soon as possible. If you don’t have a traffic source, you won’t have an income source – and a loyal, dedicated following is one of the best ways to achieve both.
