BFT is on a mission to provide the internet’s greatest curated list of tools and resources made to empower freelancers and soloprenuers. From taking the first steps of business incorporation, getting your first client, receiving payment, scaling operations beyond yourself, an everything in between. We’re the one stop shop for all things freelancing.
THE FOUNDER’S STORY: When and how did you come up with the idea for the business?:
I came up with the idea right after I turned my freelancing business into a full fledge agency. It was after having to sift through so many lists to find resources and products I needed to help take my business to the next level. I was extremely frustrated at how much of my time it took to find the right tools.
WHO IS THE CUSTOMER: What is the typical profile of your target customer? Where would they be located?:
My typical customer/user is a new freelancer or soloprenuer who is trying to figure their life out. They know they have a skill and passion, but aren’t sure where to start on their freelance journey. We aim to provide them with the tools and resources at every stage of their journey.
LESSONS TO SHARE: What 3 key lessons from your startup journey you’d like to share with aspiring entrepreneurs?:
Wow, hard to pick just three. But here are some:
1. The beginning is rocky, lean into it.
2. Seek help from experienced advisors, even if the mentor is a book.
3. Map your business model based on the lifestyle you want to live, not the otherway around.
